Coaches Offering Private Lessons
Swim Lessons are a great place to get extra help and have your swimmers get one-on-one work with the Coaches. More coaches will be offering lessons as school ends for the summer!
Head Coach Blair Piddington (will offer lessons in the future)
Assistant Coach Kennedy Moore (Certified by American Red Cross in Safety Training for Swim Coaches)
I’m Kennedy Moore, and I am graduating from Oakton High School this year! I’ve been on the Oakton Swim and Dive Team for four years and was a captain this past year. I swam club with NCAP and York. I’ve been junior coaching and giving lessons for three years and can’t wait for this season to lead the developmental program in its first season! Go whirlwinds!
Junior Coach Kayden "Dino" La Force
Hello! My name is Kayden "Dino" La Force, and this is my second year as an Assistant Coach for the Westwood Swim Team. I was previously on the team for 13 years, where I was a junior coach from age 15 to 18; I also swam in high school at The Potomac School, where I competed in the MAC division. I am excited to work with the younger swimmers again and help them improve. I can work with your swimmer on basic swimming techniques or more advanced refinement. I have experience in all events and specialize in Butterfly and Freestyle for strokes, as well as starts, turns, and finishes.
I’m excited for Westwood Swim to begin and to coach again this year. This will be my 12th year swimming for the Whirlwinds. I also swim for the Machine Aquatics National Team and I am Captain of the Gonzaga College High School team. My accomplishments include: All American, All Met, All Conference, and I have qualifying times for Winter Juniors, Futures and NCSAs. I can work with your swimmer on basic/advanced swim techniques, starts/finishes, turns, and racing strategies. I like to make the lessons fun and tailored to the swimmer’s level and needs.
My name is Drew McKeen and this is my 12th year swimming with Westwood and my 3rd year as a junior coach. I have two younger siblings on the team who I have coached over the years, as well as a 3 year old who I have been teaching how to swim, so I have extensive experience with all ages. I like to tailor my lessons to the individual swimmer, help them improve, and most importantly make sure that they have fun. I am also an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
If a coach doesn't have a sign-up genius, you can also talk with them directly to schedule Swim Lessons.
*FYI - Swim team provides a platform for the coaches to advertise lessons; however, we do not manage swim lessons. Please contact the swim lesson coaches directly with any questions about lessons.
